This
is an unframed canvas transfer print.
The
canvas transfer print can be described as a high
quality, lifelike print. It is applied to an artist's
canvas and "stretched" over a stretcher frame
that is about 3/4" thick. Looking at it from the
front, you see only the image right to the edge.
The sides are covered in a black edge tape. These
prints have more "texture" to them from the canvas
and thus have a much more lifelike and "dimensional"
look to them. Best of all, you can frame
it like an original without glass in front of
it!
Many
clients hang this on their wall like this for
a contemporary look, while some choose to take
it to their local picture framer to put an outer
molding of their choice on.
The
prints are very durable and have a special UV
protective coating.
